Preferably, all ValueSets (VS) and CodeSystems (CS) are located on the central ontoserver in Cologne, which are linked in defined FHIR profiles via binding mechanisms. As a starting point, the FHIR packages published on Simplifier to various core data set (KDS) modules or the GECCO data set are generally used (taking into account potentially different version statuses of the specifications).
ConceptMaps (CM), as the third terminological resource type, are more likely to be needed in the local site context, for example to map proprietary laboratory codes to LOINC. For the central ontoserver, on the other hand, there is interest in providing the year-by-year transition tables for classifications such as ICD-10, OPS, or ATC to enable cross-version evaluations here as well.
